SYNOPSIS OF NOVEL
THE HUNGER GAMES
The
Hunger Games is the first novel of trilogy novels written by American novelist
Suzanne Collins. The story begins with the day of the reaping in District 12.
Katniss Everdeen, the main character of this story, volunteer as tribute to
change her younger sister, Primrose Everdeen, who is chosen as tribute from
District 12. Every district in Panem, must send a girl and a boy in twelve-through
eighteen-years-old as tributes in The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games given by
the Capitol to make all of people in 12 District remember about the Dark Day
which make the thirteenth District obliterated. Then, Peeta Mellark who ever
help Katniss with gave her bread when she was looking for food for his family
is selected as a boy tribute. They get a mentor who is from District 12 too but
he is always drunk, his name is Haymitch. Haymitch’s guides make Katniss and
Peeta as the victors of Seventy Fourth Hunger Games. Actually, the first rule
is only one person as the winner but in this time they can be the winner
because if both of us can’t be the victors, they can’t get the victors of
Seventy Fourth Hunger Games.
